Always be prepared to deal with violence with Nonviolence. At home, with friends, at work, or in the community. It’s obvious that guns don’t work. We have the most open gun laws among wealthy nations and the most violence. Having inner peace and knowing how to de-escalate provides the best protection. It is the best hope for the Beloved Community.

Tools to Build the Beloved Community.

Our workshops center around the concepts of Indigeneity and Kingian Nonviolence. Indigeneity is a lifestyle that focuses less on controlling our environment and more on enjoying what we have. It requires long-term thinking and considers the long-term consequences of our actions today on the generations to come. Moreover, indigeneity suggests working and living in cooperation with others rather than attempting to dominate them.

Kingian Nonviolence teaches it’s students very important skills to confront injustice in a nonviolent manner. It provides a structure for conflict reconciliation that is rooted in the best aspects of philosophers, spiritual leaders, and activists such as Gandhi, Tolstoy, and Dr. King who promote the Beloved Community.
